Tutto nasce dalla mia prima tesi triennale di Filologia.

Già da qui si capisce la mia scarsa ortodossia per la materia. O meglio... il mio modo di affrontare i problemi in modo creativo. Dalla letteratura medievale alla musica moderna....

Since that you could notice how I was not strictly orthodox. Better. How I faced the subject and problem in a creative way. From medieval literature to modern music...

Continuando i miei studi -e cambiando completamente settore e argomento- ho notato che questo 'vizio' di svicolare dal tema principale tornava costantemente, applicandosi ora alle musiche, ora ai vestiti. Finché non ho affrontato la mia terza tesi (la seconda triennale). Nel descrivere società utopiche mi son ritrovata a sbattere ripetutamente il naso con la cultura pop dei fumetti che ben conoscevo: come mai non ci avevo mai fatto caso? 

Continuing my studies -and completely changing branch and argument- I noticed how this my 'defect' to slip away from the main theme constantly returns and how I can apply this method in crossing references between music, clothes, movies and so on. Until I faced my third thesis (the second B.A.). While I was describing utopian societies I noticed how I was repeatedly banging into the pop culture of comics I grown up with: why I never noticed it?

L'ultima conferma l'ho avuta quando sono andata in una scuola superiore a parlare dell'argomento.

I ragazzi erano interessati a un approccio così estraneo ai canoni didattici.

Il problema, però, nacque dalla loro ignoranza su temi che io consideravo assodati dalle scuole medie. Mi sono dovuta ingegnare e trovare esempi più semplici. Impresa ardua, visto che nessuno (!) aveva nemmeno mai visto (non letto, sia mai...i libri sono il male) Harry Potter e un Tarzan suonava loro come qualcosa di vetusto.  

I found the last proof about it when I went to a high school to talk about my first and more didactic bachelor thesis.

Boys were interested in a different approach so distant from teaching standard. 

But the problem bore from their ignorance about topics I considered well-established by the middle school. I had to be creative and find easier examples: difficult task because no one (!) had ever seen (nor read: too complicated! Books are evils!) Harry Potter and Tarzan was something ancient for them.

Ed ecco l'idea di aprire un blog e raccontarvi i rimandi in cui mi sono imbattuta. Alcuni possono apparire banali, altri oscuri. Ma il collegamento c'è. 

From that experience came the idea to open a blog and tell you some of these links that I founded. Sometimes they could appear easy, some other unclear. But the links are still there.
