The lost Ronin

Lei: la figlia di un potente Daimyo che viene tradito da un signorotto che serve lo stesso Shogun. Questo Lord vuole far sua la ragazza ed è aiutato da una creatura/strega serpentina.
Lui, l'eroe, è un gaijin (straniero) e un ronin (un samurai senza padrone. Lo diventerà ma all'inizio non è nulla.)
Ovviamente, l'amore tragico tra la nobildonna e lo straniero è davvero malvisto e termina con la morte di uno dei due amanti.
Altrettanto ovviamente, è il gaijin a morire: la signora deve amministrare il regno lasciato dal padre alla sua morte.
She was the daughter of a Daimyo that was betrayed by a Lord that served the same Shogun. This Lord wanted to marry the girl and was helped by a serpentine creature/witch.
The hero was a gaijin (a stranger) and a ronin (a warrior without a lord to serve. He will become but at the beginning he's nothing).
Of course the love between the noble lady and the gaijin was really unpopular and ended with the death of one of the two lovers.
Of course is the Gaijin that died: the lady has to stay to rule her father reign.

Io stavo parlando di 47 Ronin!
Pensavate forse che stessi parlando di Wolverine e Lady Mariko Yashida?
Certo, se riassunto in questo modo sembra essere la stessa storia.
E -forse- era meglio se Wolverine-L'immortale avesse copiato 47 Ronin e non avesse solo tentato di reinventare quello che è ormai un classico dei fumetti occidentali. (lo so che Wolvie è uscito a luglio 2013 mentre 47 Ronin è uscito a dicembre... ma potevano tirare un attimo l'occhio alla concorrenza!)
E ancora non capisco perché abbiano cambiato la trama. Dov'è l'amore tragico? O meglio... dov'è la storia d'amore, prima di tutto??? Quello è qualunque cosa, ma non una storia d'amore! Con Jean Gray ancora lì è ovvio che non ci può stare!
Jean...Non è mai stato uno dei miei personaggi preferiti ma Conflitto Finale ha rovinato quel poco di buono che c'era in lei. E l'outfit è totalmente sbagliato per Fenice.

Did you thought I was talking about Wolverine and Lady Mariko Yashida, didn't you???
Well. If summarised in this way it could seems the same plot.
And, maybe, was better if Wolverine – The Immortal copied 47 Ronin and not just tried to reinvent the (by now) classical novel in Westerner comics.(I know that Wolvie was published in July 2013 and 47 Ronin only in December... but they could pay attention to the other movies about the same topic!)
I still don't understand why they have to change the plot. Where is the tragic love? Better... where's the love story, first of all??? That is everything but it! With Jean Gray still there of course it's impossible.
Jean... She was never been one of my favourite character but Last Stand ruined what good was in her. And the outfit is totally wrong for the Phoenix.

Questo è un mio schizzo. Il primo è una copia della foto originale di Jean Gray per Conflitto Finale. Se conoscete i personaggi Marvel potete vedere facilmente come sia, più o meno, l'outfit perfetto per Wanda-Scarlet Witch. Nel secondo, con Photoshop, ho solo fatto scivolare il colore dell'outfit da rosso a verde. Et voilà. Non sembra uno degli ultimi outfit di Rogue? Insomma... tutto tranne Fenice. Avrei qualcosa da ridire anche sui capelli ma... questo non è il luogo adatto.
This is one of my sketches. The first one is a copy of the original Jean Gray picture for Last Stand. If you know the Marvel characters you can easily say that is, more or less, the perfect outfit per Wanda-Scarlet Witch. In the second one I just shift the colour of the outfit with Photoshop from red to green. Et voilà. It seems the last outfit of Rogue. So...everything but Phoenix. I have something to say about the hair too... but this is not the right place.

Perché Silver Samurai è interpretato dal vecchio Yashida e non dal giovane Harada? Di più, nessuno  è un mutante e l'armatura di Silver Samurai è in adamantio...che cazz....??
Perché Viper è una mutante che ricorga Paige-Husk-Guthrie e Poison Ivy della DC?
Devo ricordarlo: Madame HYDRA, alias Ophelia Sarkissian era connessa a Capitan America. E alla Donna Ragno, poiché credeva di esserne la madre. Ma il ruolo di Madame HYDRA è affidato anche all'amante e braccio destro di Fury (Contessa Allegra de Fontaine),  durante Dark Reign, e a Susan Storm Richards in Exiles!
Dobbiamo parlare ancora di come stiano producendo film Marvel sui mutanti giusto per tenersi i diritti e che, in questo modo, impediscono qualunque cross-over?
Why Silver Samurai is played by the old Yashida and not by the young Harada? What's more, nobody is a mutant and the Silver Samurai armour was in adamantium... WTF?
Why Viper was a mutant that remind Paige-Husk-Guthrie and DC's Poison Ivy?
We have to remember it: Madame HYDRA A.K.A. Ophelia Sarkissian was connected to Captain America. And to Spider-Woman, because she believed being her mother. But, during Dark Reign, also Fury's lover and his right-hand-woman (Valentina) and, in Exiles, Susan Storm Richards too was Madame HYDRA!
We have to talk again about the fact that they are producing Marvel Muties Movies just to hold the right on them and, in this way, they prevent any cross-over?

Parlavo di 47 Ronin.
Anche questo film, una rivisitazione fantastica di un evento storico e mito nella società giapponese, ha qualcosa di completamente inventato. Per esempio il personaggio dello straniero-Keanu Reeves. A essere sinceri, nel film non è semplicemente un gaijin ma un ibrido uomo-tengu (e anche qui, sinceramente, mi aspettavo qualche ala nera da loro)

I was talking about the 47 Ronin.
Even this movie, a fantasy rendering of an historical event and modern mith in the Japanese society, has something totally invented.
For example the gaijin-Keanu Reeves character. To be honest in the movie is not simply Gaijin but an hybrid human-Tengu (sincerely I expected some black wings from them).

Ma era così bello, con kimoni colorati (...mmm no, ok, se prestate attenzione potete notare come non siano davvero tali. Sono splendidi costumi ispirati ai kimoni. Come fa ogni costumista, sono vestiti moderni con -ovviamente- influenze nipponiche ma arrangiati in modo da sembrare vecchi e al tempo stesso credibili e attuali). Blu, verde, oro, argento, rosa, rosso, viola, arancione...
Colore. Sì!Ho davvero amato tutti quei colori! Per me è impossibile immaginare il Giappone senza colori. (Mi è impossibile immaginare anche la vita di tutti i giorni senza colori...ma sembra che spaventino la gente...)
But was so beautiful, with colourful kimonos (…mmm no... if you pay attention you can notice that they aren't. They are gorgeous costumes inspired by kimonos but they are not! As any costume designer does, they are modern dresses with -of course- a Japanese influence but arranged in a way that looks ancient but in the same time believable and actual.). Blue, green, gold, silver, pink, red, purple, orange...
Colour. Yes! I really loved all those colours! It's impossible for me to imagine Japan without colour. (It's impossible for me to imagine everyday life without colour, too... but seems that it frightens people...).

La cosa che mi ha deluso è stata la scarza importanza data al bushido: sembra solo una storia banale di vendetta.
Per questa ragione, anche se non lo sapete, potete facilmente intuire che il regista non è giapponese.
The thing that disappointed me was the lacking importance given to the bushido: it appears just like a common story about vengeance.
For this reason, even if you don't know it, you can easily understand that the director was not a Japanese.
