Dunque, ero al supermercato e ho visto il DVD del nuovo Robocop allegato a un quotidiano. Si è trattato di un momento ma ho rivissuto la mia adolescenza. Non so perché ma Robocop (1987) e Dredd (1995) sono sempre appaiati, nella mia mente. Forse perché sono in qualche modo legati a membri della mia famiglia. E il revival di entrambi nello stesso periodo (rispettivamente 2014 e 2012), rinforza questa idea.
Riguardo il primo, al momento, non ho nulla da dire: è un cyborg e ha il visore rosso a pezzo unico, tipico del Mirror Shade Movement che -come già detto- possiamo facilmente trovare nell'archetipo Gort e, poi, in Ciclope (non ne ho scritto perché è ovvio).
Qual è il punto, questa volta? E' facile.
Waiting for writing the post about Star Wars, today I introduce something small and easy.
So, I was at the supermarket and I saw the new Robocop's DVD sold with a newspaper. It was just a moment but I relived my adolescence. I don't know why but Robocop (1987) and Dredd (1995) are always match toghether, in my mind, maybe because they are both connected somehow with member of my family. And, the revival of both in the same period (respectively 2014 and 2012), reinforces this idea.
About the first one, right now, I've nothing to say: he-it is a cyborg and he has the one-red-piece viewer, typical of the mirror shade movement that -as already said- we can firstly find it in the archetype of Gort and, then, in Cyclops (I didn't write it because it is obvoius).
What's the point, this time?
It's easy.
Mentre ci fu una forte critica per il costume di Scott Summer - Fenice Nera- che ricordava troppo il costume di Nightwing (anche se, come nel caso dell'abito da sposa nel film di Harry Potter e l'abito di McQueen visto nel post Il costume dello scandalo, era un buon-ovvio-filologico riciclo della stessa idea), non sono stata capace di trovare nulla circa il nuovo costume nero e rosso da "cattivo" di Scott Summers.
E' possibile che nessuno l'abbia notato? Specialmente ora che gli autori Marvel stanno guardando indietro nel tempo con tutte le icone degli anni '90? Pensate al moicano di Ororo, Jubilee che torna a visitare il grande magazzino dove viveva ai tempi in cui gli X-men, dati per morti, si nascondevano in Australia, il nuovo Morph simile a quello del cartone e via dicendo. Ora mi aspetto solo che Alfiere confermi che l'ultima parte dello scisma tra Logan e Scott (i suoi X-men vivono nella struttura che fu sede di Arma X...davvero inquietante!) è quella cosa che lui chiamava "Il tradimento di Summers". Mi sto rileggendo or ora tutti i fumetti dall'inizio (magari c'è già la soluzione alla questione, ma io voglio pensare che i fatti siano comunque connessi).
While there was a strong critic about the Scott Summers'Black Phoenix costume that remembered too much the one of the Nightwing (even if, like in the case of the wedding dress of Harry Potter's movie and the McQueen dress, already seen in the post The costume of the scandal, it was a good-obvious-philological recycling of the same idea), I was not able to find anything about the new black and red costume of Scott Summers as a new "villain".
Is it possible that nobody notice it? Especially now that the Marvel author are looking back in time with all the '90 icon? Let think about the mohawk of Ororo, Jubilee that comes back to visit the mall where she lived at the time in which X-men -considered deads- hid in Australia, the new Morph like the cartoon's one, and so on. Now I'm waiting just for Bishop to says that this last part of the schism between Logan and Scott (his X-men live in the ex Weapon-X facility...it's really creepy!) is that things that he used to call “the betrayal of Summers”. I'm reading once again all the comics from the beginning (so maybe there already is the solution to this question, but I want to think that the facts are related).
Cosa dire di Scott e Dredd?
Devo confessarlo: come Capitan America, non ho mai amato nemmeno Ciclope. Troppo buono... così buono che, più facilmente che per altri, spesso diventa il cattivo: è veramente cattivo dentro. Come Jean dev'essere per forza matta dentro (per un motivo o per un altro, succede sempre qualcosa di strano alla sua mente. E anche a quella del clone, Madelyne). Si può vedere anche negli universi alternativi. Lui e suo fratello Alex. E quando sono cattivi sono sicuramente più interessanti, mentre i cattivi lo sono quando diventano fragili. Ma non voglio vedere Scott fragile. E' un vero bastardo (devo ricordare che ha sposato il clone della sua ragazza dopo poco che la prima era 'morta', volle che Jean si prendesse cura di Nathan -figlio di Madelyne- che poi spedì nel futuro da solo e, alla fine, ha ucciso il suo mentore???)
What about Scott Summers and Dredd?
I've to say that, as Captain America, I never loved Cyclops, too. Too good... So good that, easier than other, often became a bad guy: he's a really bad guy inside. Like Jean has to be really mad (for a reason or another, something strange always happens to her mind and to her clone Madelyne's mind, too). You can see it also in the Alternative Universe. He and his brother Alex. And when they are bad, they are surely more interesting, while the bad guy are when they become fragile. But I don't want to see Scott fragile. He's a real bastard (I have to remember that he married the clone of his girlfriend after a while that the first was 'dead', he wanted Jean took care of Nathan -son of Madelyne- who was send in the future all alone and, finally, he killed his mentor???)
Quindi, date un occhio e trovate le differenze.
Sì, la X sugli occhi. E qualcosa di stupido e ancora non capisco come funzioni il nuovo visore di quarzo rubino: è vetro? E allora perchè è modellato sulla faccia? E dove va quando Cycke deve sparare? O è solo tessuto? E allora com'è possibile contenere il raggio ottico?
In 2012, Dredd was back in the cinema. The story has nothing in common whit the previous adaptation of the 1995 but it result most loyal to the comic. Paradoxically, the suit of Stallone is more similar to the one of the comic, with the exception of the helmet. And the Spandex suit was unbelievable...
So, look at it and find the differences.
Yes, the X on the eyes. It's something stupid and I still don't understand how the new ruby-quartz peak works: is it glass? So why is it mould on his face? And where it goes when Cycke has to shoot? Or is it just fabric? Then, how is it possible to contain his blast?
Ma qual è il nesso tra Scott e il giudice Joseph Dredd? Dal nome era più adatto a Magneto (ricordate che quando il Professor X gli spense la mente lui riapparse sulla Terra più giovane e smemorato e col nome di Joseph?)
Ma è Scott che sembra ogni volta più vicino alla sua versione alternativa, il Prelato dell'Era di Apocalisse: ora, nonostante sia un criminale ricercato, è come un poliziotto (lui e i suoi X-Men trovano e prendono i nuovi mutanti), è arrogante e non capisce il pericolo rappresentato dall'avere gli X-men originali nel presente, vuole anche comandare tutti i mutanti, si propone come leader forte e carismatico anche se è un assassino e vorrebbe sostituirsi allo S.H.I.E.L.D.
L'unica differenza: non è -ancora- crudele come Dredd e non vuole uccidere nessuno. Ma pretende di usare i nuovi e confusi giovani mutanti come soldati. But what is the link between Scott and the Judge Joseph Dredd? By the name it was more suitable for Magneto (do you remember that when Professor X switched off his mind, he reappeared on Earth younger and forgetful with the name of Joseph?). But is Scott that seems to be any time similar to his alternative version, the Prelate of the Age of Apocalpse: now, although as a wanted criminal, he is like a police man (he and his X-men find and catch the new mutants), he's arrogant and don't understand the danger embodied by the original X-men in the present, he also wants to rule all the mutants, he proposes himself as a strong and charismatic leader even if he's a murder and he would like to substitute for S.H.I.E.L.D.
The only differences: he's -still- not cruel as Dredd and he don't want to kill anybody. But he pretend to use new and confused young mutants as soldiers.
