Fortunatamente, nella mia nuova e temporanea casa in Irlanda, ho il wi-fi!

Così sono riuscita a scaricarmi (sì, lo so che è illegale, ma il DVD è uscito il giorno della mi partenza =_= e, a suo tempo, non sono riuscita ad andare al cinema -dannata tesi-. In ogni caso, me lo comprerò, come tutti gli altri prodotti Marvel...a parte l'ultimo Amazing Spider-man =_= perdonatemi ma io sono fedele a Tobey Maguire) e a vedermi, finalmente, Thor: The Dark World.

Thank God, in my new temporary house in Ireland I have the wi-fi!
So I was able to download (I know that is illegal but the DVD was just publish when I was leaving Italy =_= and I wasn't able to go to the cinema -damned thesis- but in any case I want to buy it as any other Marvel Movie...a part the last Amazing Spider-Man =_= Excuse me but I'm loyal to Tobey Maguire) and finally watching Thor: The Dark World.

Ora, dovete sapere che ero davvero curiosa al riguardo perchè tutti i miei amici, dopo la visione, mi hanno sommerso di commenti tipo "Avevi rgione! L'avevi predetto... Conoscevi già il plot!" (No, sfortunatamente per me non conosco nessuno ai Marvel Studios...magari!!) perché avevano letto la mia fanfiction (sequel di Avengers, in cui cerco di spiegare l'infinità del Marvelverse) dove Loki prende il posto di Odino con un semplice trucco. Esattamente lo stesso che il vero Loki attua nel film.

Now, you have to know that I was really curious about this movie because all of my friends, after viewing it, said to me “You were right! You predicted it... You already knew the plot!” (No, unfortunately I've no friends in Marvel Studios...I wish I have!) because they had read my fanfiction. In this story (that is the sequel of Avengers, in which I try to explain the infinite Marvelverse) Loki takes the place of Odin with a simple trick. The same that the real Loki uses in the film.

Il film è qualcosa di grandioso (Ok, Thor non è esattamente uno dei miei personaggi preferiti, né nei fumetti né nei film... per lo più guardo i costumi e cerco le citazioni...) nonostante Jane Foster (perché lei è stata in grado di liberare un potere così antico in un modo così stupido?) e Malekith (il cattivo di cui non sappiamo nulla se non che è un elfo oscuro)

The movie is something awesome (ok, Thor is not one of my favourite character, neither in the comics nor in the movies, so I just look for costumes and quotation...) despite Jane Foster (why she was able to relieve this ancient power in such a stupid way?) and Malekith (the villain and we don't know nothing else about his life save the fact that he is a dark elf).

Ok, mi potete rispondere che si tratta solo di un mantello. E che si tratta di una coincidenza se entrambi hanno i capelli chiari (Qui Gon Jinn non li ha propriamente neri) raccolti in una mezza coda e con tanto di barba... no no...

Ok, you can say that it is just a cape. And that it's a coincidence that both have long hair tied in an half ponytail (not both blond but... Qui Gon Jinn has no evident black hair) and beard....

Naboo & Asgard

Vabbè... osservate il panorama alle spalle delle due coppie (Jane e Thor e Padme e Anakin in Guerre Stellari - La guerra dei Cloni).

Asgard e Naboo sono totalmente differenti ma sotto alcuni punti di vista sono simili: sono entrambi bellissimi regni molto tranquilli costruiti sull'acqua. Cosa più importante per me è che siano stati usati nello stesso modo come location per momenti romantici. E nella mia mente diventano subito la stessa cosa (e il personaggio femminile è sempre interpretato da Natalie Portman...le deve piacere proprio tanto l'acqua...)

So, let's have a look at the panorama behind the couple (Jane and Thor and Padme and Anakin in Star Wars II - The Clone Wars).
Asgard and Naboo are totally different but from a certain point of view they are quite similar. They are both beautiful and peaceful reigns and they are made on the water. But what is important for me is the fact that both are used in the same way as location for a romantic moment. And in my mind they suddenly became the same thing (and the female character is always Natalie Portman...she'd love water...).

Ok, cambiamo la corrispondenza...

Guardiamo all'interno dello stesso Marvelverse.

Malekith e i suoi elfi oscuri indossano parrucche bianche (con la treccia) che mi rimandano allo stile ottocentesco dei membri del primo Club Infernale, un gruppo di cattivi che sistematicamente se la prende con gli X-Men.

Have a look on the Marvelverse itself.
Malekith and his dark elves wear a white wig (with a braid) that remind me the eighteenth-century style of the first Hellfire Club, usually a group of villains of the mutant X-Men.

A sinistra in alto il primo Club Infernale (l'immagine migliore che son riuscita a trovare che ne descriva lo stile). Accanto, la maschera dei loro soldati. Sotto a sinistra Malekith con la sua codina bianca e ottocentesca e a destra il soldato in questione. In entrambi i casi, la maschera rimanda inequivocabilmente a Jason Voorhees di Venerdì 13.
From the left on the top: the first Hellfire Club (the best picture I was able to find that describes the style) and the HF Club Soldier. On the bottom, Malekith with his white and eighteenth-century braid and one of his soldiers. In both cases, masks unequivocally remind the Jason -Friday the 13th- Voorhees one.

Un altro riferimento al CI sono le armature degli elfi oscuri di Malekith.

In ogni caso, queste armature mi fanno sempre pensare alle truppe d'assalto imperiali di Guerre Stellari (come in molti altri casi, non ultimo quello dei pacificatori di Hunger Games)

Another connection with the HC are the suits of armor of the Malekith's dark elves.
In any case, these armors firstly remind me the white Star Wars Imperial Storm Troopers (as in many other cases, not last the Hunger Games Peacekeepers). 

Cosa in assoluto più importante, quella che mi ha portato a scrivere questo post è lo strano oggetto che Malekith da ai suoi soldati come arma per distruggere Asgard dall'interno.

Non è il seme della Morte, secondo voi? La forma, i colori, l'uso e le sue conseguenze sono gli stessi.

But the most important thing, the one that make me write this post, is the strange object that Malekith give to his soldier as weapon to destroy Asgard from the inside.

Is it the Death Seed, isn't it? The shape, the colour, the use and its consequences are the same.

Sacrificando se stessi, gli utilizzatori del seme diventano brutti, invincibili e simili a un vulcano in eruzione (nel caso del film) o cianotici (nel caso dei fumetti).
Through their own sacrifice, users of the Seeds become ugly, invincible and vulcano-in-eruption lile (in the movie) or just cyanotic (in the comics)

 

Creati dai Celestiali che li affidarono a individui selezionati perchè sostenessero l'evoluzione naturale delle specie superiori nei diversi mondi.

Nella scena addizionale, nei titoli di coda, vediamo il Collezionista, strettamente connesso a Thanos (il cattivo che vediamo nella scena extra, sempre nei titoli di coda, di Avengers) che a sua volta è strettamente connesso a Morte (che sia Hela, la figlia di Loki?) e al cubo Cosmico.

Potremmo pure pensare che sia stato il Collezionista a dare a Malekith i Semi della Morte.
They were created by the Celestials, who gave the Death Seeds to selected individuals who were charged by the Celestials with the goals of aiding natural evolution of superior species on worlds.

In the post credit scene we already see Collector, strictly connected with Thanos (the villain that we can see in the Avengers post credit scene) who is in turn linked to Death (maybe Hela, the Loki'sdaughter?) and the Cosmic Cube.
We could think that Collector gave Death Seeds to Malekith.

Quicksilver Concept

Sappiamo che, in Avengers 2 - L'era di Ultron, ci saranno i gemelli mutanti Wanda e Pietro.

E che i Semi della Morte sono, solitamente, un arma di Apocalisse (il mutante Xterno che vuole migliorare la sua razza uccidendo i più deboli e sempre contrastato dagli X-Men, il più famoso gruppo mutante del Marvelverse).

Quindi, io sono ormai rassegnata al fatto che non vedremo mai una vera correlazione tra X-Men, F4 e Uomo Ragno e i Vendicatori (o Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Occhio di Falco, Vedova Nera e così via), perchè i diritti del primo gruppo li detiene la 20^th Century Fox, ma lasciatemi almeno sognare.

In fondo ora abbiamo ben 2 Quicksilver (interpretati da due diversi attori....) e una Scarlet Witch... 

E solo perché erano Vendicatori e non propriamente X-Men anche se mutanti  figli del più famoso avversario degli X-Men, Magneto.

Oh... quanto adoro questo tipo di correlazioni!

We know that there'll be two mutant twins, Wanda and Pietro, in Avengers 2 - Age of Ultron.
And Death Seeds are usually an Apocalypse's weapon. Apocalypse is an Xternal mutant who want to improve his own race by killing the weakests and always hindered by X-Men, the most famous Marvelverse mutant group.
So, I resigned that we'll never have a real connection between the X-Men, F4 and Spider-Man movies and Avengers (and Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Widow and so on), because the rights of the first ones are owned by 20^th Century Fox, but let me dream about it.
At the bottom now we have 2 Quicksilver (played by 2 different actors....) and a Scarlet Witch... And this just because they are Avengers and not properly X-Men even if they are mutants and offspring of the most famous X-Men villain, Magneto.
